Advan i55 & i55D

Advan i55 & i55D Stock Firmware (All Versions)

The Advan i55 and i55D are two distinct budget 4G smartphones from the Indonesian brand Advan. Due to their similar names, it is essential to correctly identify your model before attempting to restore its software. This guide provides the official stock firmware for both the older Advan i55 (Lollipop) and the newer Advan i55D (Nougat), with separate instructions for each.

CRUCIAL WARNING: Advan i55 vs. i55D Are Different Phones!

The Advan i55 and Advan i55D are two different models with different hardware, different Android versions, and completely different flashing methods.

  • Advan i55 is an older model running Android 5.1 Lollipop and uses the SP Flash Tool.
  • Advan i55D is a newer model running Android 7.0 Nougat and uses the QGDP Tool.

Flashing the wrong firmware on your model will cause a permanent hard brick. Before downloading, you MUST verify your exact model number. If your phone works, check in Settings > About Phone. If not, check the sticker under the battery (if removable) or the original box.

Important Note: Please read the warning above carefully. This guide covers two different models and flashing methods. Using the wrong file or tool will damage your phone. Flashing will erase all your data.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. How can I be sure if I have an i55 or i55D?
The most reliable way is to check the model number on the original box or on the sticker under the battery (if it’s removable). If the phone can turn on, go to Settings > About Phone. The model number will be listed there. Do not guess, as the risk of bricking is extremely high.
Q2. Can I “upgrade” my Advan i55 to Android 7.0 using the i55D firmware?
No. They are different hardware platforms. The i55D firmware is not compatible with the i55. Attempting to flash it will fail and will likely damage the phone’s bootloader, making it unrecoverable.
Q3. I have the i55D with 1GB of RAM. What happens if I flash the 2GB RAM firmware?
It is strongly advised not to. Flashing firmware intended for a different RAM amount can cause the phone to not boot, or lead to constant system instability and crashes. You must use the firmware file that exactly matches your phone’s hardware variant.
