BQ Mobile BQ-1045G Orion Firmware Flash File Download [Stock Rom]

The BQ Mobile BQ-1045G Orion is a large, 10.1-inch tablet designed for media consumption on a budget, running Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition). While functional, this model is known among users for specific recurring problems, such as randomly freezing and rebooting, touchscreen issues due to different hardware versions, and camera errors. If your tablet is unstable or locked, reinstalling the official stock firmware is the most effective method to address these software-related flaws and restore the device.

⚠️ CRUCIAL WARNING: Multiple Hardware Revisions
The BQ-1045G Orion was manufactured with different touchscreen controllers. Two firmware versions are provided below. If you flash one version and your touchscreen stops working, it means you have a different hardware revision. In that case, you must flash the other firmware file. This process will also erase all your data.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. My BQ-1045G Orion tablet freezes constantly and then reboots. Is this a hardware problem?
Not always. This is the most common software complaint for this model and is often caused by firmware instability or memory management bugs in the original software. A clean flash of the stock ROM is the most effective solution to fix these random freezes and reboots.
Q2. I factory reset my tablet and now it’s stuck on the Google account screen. How can I fix this?
This is the Factory Reset Protection (FRP) lock. Flashing the official .pac firmware file using the SPD Upgrade Tool will completely wipe the device, which removes the FRP lock and allows you to set up the tablet as new.
Q3. The camera app shows the error “Cannot connect to camera.” What should I do?
This can be a software glitch where the system service for the camera fails to initialize. Before assuming it’s a hardware failure, you should flash the stock firmware. This process reinstalls all system services and can often resolve such errors if the camera hardware is still functional.

🔧 Device Troubleshooting

  • After flashing, the touchscreen does not respond: This is the most critical issue for this model. It means you have used the firmware for the wrong hardware revision. Power off the tablet completely and repeat the flashing process using the other firmware file provided in the download section. One of them should match your device’s touchscreen controller.
  • The tablet is stuck on the BQ logo after flashing: The first boot after flashing can take up to 15 minutes. If it is stuck longer than that, you may need to clear old data. Boot into recovery mode (usually Power + Volume Down), select “Wipe data/factory reset,” and then reboot.
  • SPD Upgrade Tool gets stuck at “Checking BAUD”: This is a driver or connection error. Make sure the SPD SCI drivers are correctly installed. Try a different USB port and a known good cable. Importantly, ensure the tablet is fully powered off before you press and hold the Volume Down button and connect it to the PC.
