BQ Mobile BQ-1083G Armor Pro Plus Firmware Flash File Download [Stock Rom]
The BQ Mobile BQ-1083G Armor Pro Plus is a rugged 10.1-inch tablet built to withstand harsh conditions, featuring a massive 8000 mAh battery and 4G LTE connectivity. This device was released with Android 7.0 Nougat and later received an update to Android 8.1 Oreo. However, its biggest challenge for users is the existence of numerous hardware revisions, which can make software repairs complex. Issues like an unresponsive touchscreen after an update, bugs in the Android 8.1 version, or a completely dead device are common. This guide provides a full collection of available firmware for both Android versions to help you find the correct file for your specific device.
⚠️ CRUCIAL WARNING: Multiple Hardware Revisions
This tablet model is known to have many different hardware revisions with incompatible touchscreen drivers. Multiple firmware files are provided. If you flash one version and your touchscreen stops working, you must try a different file. It is safest to start with the Android version your tablet originally had. ❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- Q1. Which of the four firmware files should I choose?
- It’s best to start with the Android version your tablet was running before the problems started. If you were on Android 8.1, use that file. If you were on Android 7.0, use the newest Android 7.0 build (from April 2019). The multiple versions are provided because of different hardware revisions.
- Q2. I updated to Android 8.1, but it seems buggy or drains the battery faster. Can I go back to Android 7.0?
- Yes, downgrading is possible with this model. This is a common reason users want to flash. If you are unhappy with the Android 8.1 performance, you can flash any of the provided Android 7.0 firmwares. We recommend the newest one (build date 2019-04-30).
- Q3. My tablet is completely dead. It won’t charge or turn on. Can firmware fix it?
- This is a last resort. A “dead” tablet is usually a hardware failure. However, sometimes it can be a deep software crash (a “hard brick”). If your computer can still detect the tablet when you connect it while holding the Volume Down button, then you have a good chance of reviving it by flashing one of these firmwares.
🔧 Device Troubleshooting
- After flashing, the touchscreen does not work: This is the most common problem for this specific model. It means you have flashed a firmware for the wrong hardware revision. Power off the tablet and repeat the entire flashing process using a different firmware file from the list until you find the one that matches your hardware.
- SPD Upgrade Tool is stuck at “Checking BAUD”: This is a driver or connection issue. Re-install the SPD drivers, use a different USB port on your PC, and a known-good USB cable. Ensure the tablet is fully powered off before you press and hold the Volume Down button and connect it.
- The tablet is stuck on the BQ logo after flashing: The first boot can take a long time (10-15 minutes). If it’s still stuck, you need to clear the old data. Boot into recovery mode (usually Power + Volume Down), find and select “Wipe data/factory reset,” and then reboot.
