The Redmi K30 / POCO X2 (codename phoenix) launched in 2020, famously bringing a 120Hz display and 64MP Sony main camera to the mid-range segment. It was marketed as the Redmi K30 in China and the POCO X2 in India.

This page provides official fastboot ROMs for both variants and the enhanced Xiaomi.eu custom ROM, which offers a debloated, global-like experience.

⚠️ Critical Warning: The Indian variant uses the codename phoenixin. Always confirm your device’s exact codename via Fastboot (fastboot getvar product) before flashing to avoid a permanent brick.

FAQs (Firmware)

Q1. What is the difference between ‘phoenix’ and ‘phoenixin’ ROMs? ‘phoenix’ is for the Chinese Redmi K30, while ‘phoenixin’ is for the Indian POCO X2. They are not interchangeable. Flashing the wrong one will cause baseband and stability issues.
Q2. Why does the Indian variant have an older Android version?
The POCO X2 reached its end-of-life with MIUI 12.5 on Android 11. The Chinese Redmi K30 received one more major update to MIUI 13 based on Android 12.

Q3. Can I get Android 12 on my POCO X2?
Officially, no. The only safe way is to install a custom ROM like Xiaomi.eu (based on the China Android 12 build) or other AOSP-based ROMs from XDA-Developers.
